The history of bongs / water pipes

The history of bongs can be traced back to several ancient cultures, including the Chinese, who used them for smoking tobacco and other herbs as early as the Ming Dynasty in the 14th century. Bongs made from bronze, jade, and other materials have been found in tombs from this period, indicating that they were used by the elite.

Bongs also have a history of use in Africa and the Middle East, where they were traditionally made from clay or other natural materials. In these cultures, bongs were used for both smoking tobacco and for ceremonial purposes.

In modern times, bongs have become a popular way to smoke cannabis and are widely used for this purpose. They have evolved to be made from a variety of materials such as glass, plastic, and metal.
